Week 6 Jasper County Predictions

Week 6 of the MHSAA football season is here. The following are our game predictions involving Jasper County teams.

Quitman at Bay Springs

The Bulldogs are a different team than 2016, and that is beginning to show. They are not playing great football against bigger teams. They have a tough schedule against bigger schools, because similar-size schools were unwilling to play Bay Springs in 2017. That’s what you get for winning, Coach Brady. The Bulldogs and Panthers share a 2-3 record. Bay Springs will have to play a above average to beat this 4A school. I’m not convinced the young Dogs are ready to win on the big stage yet.

Quitman 34, Bay Springs 22

Stringer at West Lincoln

Stringer is on a four game win streak, and are by far the hottest team in Jasper county. Not that it helped any, but I called some Chicago prediction specialists, and they pretty much summed it up, “Da Devils will beat Daaaa Bears!”

Stringer 50, West Lincoln 29

North Forrest at Heidelberg

Well, it looks like my crystal ball was right on Heidelberg. Last week I picked Poplarville to clean the Oilers’ clock. Don’t let that score fool ya. The Oilers were in a close battle in the third quarter, and just couldn’t stand with them for four quarters. This week the Oilers get things in gear and should start pumping out some wins for the rest of the year. I’m a poet and didn’t even know it.

Heidelberg 27, North Forest 19

Clinton Christian Academy at Sylva-Bay Academy

No need to discuss more about how the Saints are not finding a way to win. If they block and avoid turnovers, and that’s a big ‘IF’, they win this game. Defense is good enough. Their skill players are only getting better. Learn to win, young Saints, and good things will happen.
