Sacred Heart got back to its winning ways last Friday night, as the Crusaders snapped their two-game losing streak with a 21-14 win over St. Patrick. Senior running back Campbell Klein played big for the Crusaders, rushing for 236 yards and two touchdowns in the win. For his efforts, he has been named our Sports601 Hattiesburg Player of the Week.
“I was running the ball hard,” Klein said of his performance. “Everything was open and everything we were running was working.”
“It felt really good to run all over somebody,” Klein added. “I’m not really used to that, but it felt good.”
The Crusaders improved to 3-2 with the win.
“It felt really good to get over that two-game losing streak,” Klein said. “Confidence is pretty high. We need to clean some things up, but I thought we played well Friday night. There’s a lot we need to work on, though.”
Klein and the Crusaders will look for their fourth win this Friday night when they travel to Resurrection Catholic (1-4).
