PCS’ Swindle signs with East Central softball

Kailee Swindle has been playing softball for the better part of her life, so it’s only right that she’ll continue to do so past high school. The Presbyterian Christian standout made it official Wednesday morning, signing to continue her playing career at East Central Community College.

“Softball is something that I’ve loved to do since I was like 5,” Swindle said. “I’ve played it for such a long time, and I’m just so excited to be able to continue doing that after high school. It’s just a really exciting day.”

East Central turned out to be an easy choice for her.

“I like the town and the school, and I really like the coach [Kristin Chaney]. I really like her a lot.”

Swindle added that she’ll take plenty of memories made at PCS up to Decatur with her in the fall.

“I’ll remember the people and all the good coaches I’ve had throughout the years,” Swindle said. “And my friends and teammates. They really made me remember each season.”
