The MHSAA has allowed teams to resume activities starting June 1.
Teams are expected to follow guidelines by state and local government as well as their school regarding COVID-19 precautions.
Coaches and players can gather at school athletic facilities for workouts and practices, however, there will be a two-week acclimation period.
During week one, athletes will be allowed to lift weights for two hours at 50% capacity once per day.
During week two, they can weight lift once a day for two hours at increased capacity.
There will be no inter-squad scrimmages before the start of the 2020-21 athletic year due to COVID-19 hotspots in the state. Practices and scrimmages are between players from their respective school are allowed.
Preseason drills are scheduled to begin August 3 across the state as the 2020 season is set to kick off August 20-21.
Preseason practices for several sports including cross country, swimming and volleyball will start on July 27.
