The Schaefer era is over at Mississippi State.

Though no official announcement has been made by Mississippi State, Texas Athletic Director Chris Del Conte tweeted a picture of himself along with Shaefer with the caption, "Guess who's coming to the Forty."

Schaefer spent eight seasons with Mississippi State, which saw the Bulldog program come from the bottom of the SEC to conference champions and National Championship contenders. Schaefer’s resume in Starkville includes a record of 221-62, two SEC championships, an SEC Tournament championship, and five NCAA Tournaments with two national championship game appearances.
