ELLISVILLE – Jones College sophomore centerfielder Trace Henry (Mooreville) has been named the MACJC Player of the Week.
In a doubleheader sweep of Nunez College (Louisiana) last week, Henry was 4-of-6 with two doubles, two walks, five stolen bases and five runs scored.
In a 7-5 win over the Pelicans, he was 3-for-5 with two doubles, one single, two runs scored and a stolen base. In a 13-2 win, he was 1-for-1 with a single, two walks, three runs scored and four stolen bases.
Henry has already signed with Louisiana-Monroe.
Last week, Bobcat first baseman O’Neil Burgos (Brookhaven Academy) was named MACJC and NJCAA Division II Player of the Week.
