Sheila Jean Rogers, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away on July 5, 2019, after a long courageous battle with Lou Gehrig’s/ALS.
Sheila was born in Fort Pierce, Florida to Charles and Myrtice Castles. She lived most of her life in New Port Richey and graduated from Gulf High School. She loved music and was a great dancer.
Sheila married in 1995 to Earl Rogers and they had a daughter, Niki Rogers. After Earl’s passing in the late 90’s, Sheila went on to have a son in 2002, Brandon Castles. Sheila loved her family unconditionally and loved going out to eat, especially treating herself to a big steak dinner. She also loved telling scaring stories to family members, getting a kick out of scaring the little ones. Professionally, Sheila worked many years as a CNA/Home Healthcare Aide. She enjoyed working with the elderly and brought much happiness and many smiles to so many lives.
Sheila is survived by her daughter Niki Rogers, her granddaughter Ayla Rogers, son Brandon Castles of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren Angelina and Vincent DePalma of Colony, New York, brother Carey Castles of New Port Richey, Florida and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Myrtice Castles of New Port Richey, Florida, her husband Earl Rogers and her two brothers Michael Castles and Steven Castles all from New Port Florida.
A visitation for Sheila will begin on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 3100 Audubon Drive, Laurel, Mississippi 39440 with the service following at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Chapel. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service during a graveside service at Philadelphia Methodist Cemetery in Heidelberg, Mississippi.
