Richard Ellzey, 56, of Carson, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Society Hill Baptist Church.
Richard was a truck driver and a farmer who enjoyed fishing and camping. He was a member of North Columbia Baptist Church. He was preceded by his birth father, David D. Baker, and parents, Steve and Patricia Ellzey.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Ellzey of Carson; a son, B.J. Hunt of Columbia; three daughters, Tabitha Ellzey Davis and Carlea (Chance) Harrison both of Bassfield, Amanda LeAnn Ellzey of Carson; three brothers, David (Tiffany) Baker of Andrews, TX, John Baker and Michael (Rebecca) Baker, both of Columbia; two sisters, Monica Ellzey Broom of Laurel, Georgia Stampley of Mt. Olive; five grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family will be at 10 a.m. until service time at the Society Hill Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 7, 2019.
