Rev. Wilson Harold Presher, 91, of Laurel, MS, passed away Tuesday, May 14th, 2019, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. He was born Saturday, April 28, 1928, in Waverly, New York.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery. Bro. Randy Shaw and Dr. Billy Dowdy will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bill, or Grandpa, as he was known to his friends and family, loved his God, family, friends and country. He was proud to have served at the end of WWII, along with four of his brothers. After returning from the war, Bro. Bill completed his education, at William Carey College, obtaining a Bachelors Degree. For over 50 years, Bro. Bill pastored churches in Dawson, Georgia, Hancock County, Pearl River County, Smith County and Jones County, Mississippi and Abita Springs, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Eva Skylar Presher; son, Richard Leslie Presher; wife, Ilo Elizabeth Campbell Presher; grandson, Bryan William Presher; brothers, James, Earnest, Gordon, Robert and Floyd Jr. and sisters, Anna May, Eva and Joyce.
Survivors include his daughters, Dorothy Gertrude Pagano, Linda Lee Presher and Diann Lynn Wilson; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideons International.
