Lavern W. Ainsworth, 79, of Stringer, Mississippi, entered her heavenly home on Friday August 9th, 2019, at Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was born Tuesday, May 14, 1940, in Stringer, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church in Stringer, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church and the Burial will follow in Union Line Cemetery in SoSo, MS. Bro. Terry Lee and Bro. Corby Jones will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements.

She was a devoted Christian & lifelong member of Good Hope Baptist Church where she sang in the choir & has serve as Sunday school teacher. She retired from South Central Regional Medical Center after over thirteen years as a nurse. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren. She was a special person who was a friend to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by husband of 57 years, Lavon Ainsworth; father, Willie J. Miller; mother, Viola Miller; brothers, Frank Miller, Jack Miller, Clell Miller, and Bill Miller; sisters, Mary Odom, Judy Keith, Lenora Adams, Thelma Weaver, and Gladys Miller.

Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Scott (Billy), and Tammy Miller (Daniel); sons, Eddie Ainsworth, and Brian Ainsworth (Kim); grandchildren, Christy Sims (Thomas), Jessica Williams (Jeremy), April Allen (James), Wendy Parker, and Brooks Thomas (Terry); great grandchildren, Olivia Sims, McKinna Parker, Kennedy Gardner, Kennedy Williams, Connor Thomas, Everly Parker, and Zakkary Williams; sister in-laws, Donna Miller, Bonnie Williams, Cynthia Ainsworth, and Clarisse Ainsworth; brother in-law, Virgil Ainsworth; A host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Ainsworth, Brian Ainsworth, Gary Ainsworth, Larry Ainsworth, Thomas Sims, Jeremy Williams, James Allen, and Nelson Ainsworth.
