David Earl ‘The Fox’ Stringer, 71, of Raleigh, Mississippi, died Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Sunday, June 13, 1948, in Raleigh, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 10, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh and the Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Red Bowen will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements.
David was a truck driver for 50 years driving across the country and loved his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olyer William and Mary Lou Stringer, brother, Stanley Mitchell Stringer, brothers-in-Law, Joe Gaskin, Jerry Hollingsworth, Jerry Tadlock, best friend, Harry Roberts.
Survivors include his son, Noel Stringer (Melanie), daughter, Christine Develin Perks (Jeremy), grandchildren, Grace and Will Stringer, Jett and Levi Perks, brother, Gail Stringer (Anita), sisters, Lou Ann Gaskin, Martha Smith (Gill), Debbie Hollingsworth, Cathy McIntyre (Ted), Sarah Fayard (Stephen).
Pallbearers will be Neil McIntyre, Kirk Gaskin, Gill Smith, Josh McIntyre, Mitchell Tadlock and Randall Gaskin.
