Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2019,, at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton for Mrs. Violet McWilliams, age 91, of Petal who passed from this life on September 27, 2019. Bro. Henry Freeman, Bro. Joel Smith and Bro. Shane Byrd will officiate with burial to follow in the Walters Cemetery in Petal. Pallbearers will be Calvin Rose, Jarred Rose, Benjamin Kirkland, Jeremy Kirkland, Levi Scronce and Hunter Dye. Serving as alternates will be Jamie Jamison, Ricky Kirkland and Dustin Davis.
Mrs. McWilliams was a member of Runnelstown Baptist Church. She worked as a supervisor at The Big Yank Manufacturer in Hattiesburg before retiring after 40 years of service.
She preceded in death by her husbands, Tom McWilliams and Albert Courtney; parents, Elbert and Frances Brown; grandson, Michael Courtney; brothers, Jack, Randolph and Harold Brown.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Belle (Andy) Hatten and Judy Rose; son, Jerry (Patricia) Courtney; brothers, Charles Courtney and Johnny (Katherine) Courtney; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2019, at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
