Vivian LaNell Sims Whatley was born Oct. 14, 1930, and passed away Sept. 12, 2019, she was 88 years old. She married Charles Ray Whatley on Feb. 25, 1950, and they were married for 50 years.Vivian was born Vivian LaNell Sims. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Ray Whatley, parents Mary LuElla and Harmon Sims, brothers Jack, James, Harmon II (Tumpy) Sims, sister in- law Mary Sims and nephews Stanley Sims and Chester Russell.

She is survived by her four daughters Sandra Welch, Rhonda (Ray) Reynolds, Joan (Jeff) Reid and Kathy Whatley; her sister Mary Lou (Ray) Russell and sisters- in- law Elaine Sims and Carolyn Sims.

She had 15 grandchildren: Robby Rivers, Chris (Jimmy) Bustin, Tiffany (Wayne) Thames, Missy (Gumby) Salas, Tiama (Philip) Smith, Jake (Danyelle) Wade, Derek (Casey) Reid, Ryan Reid and Kaylynn Walters. She also had 15 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Vivian loved her Lord and her family. She loved fishing, sewing, cooking, quilting, crocheting, word search puzzles and don't forget her Bingo. She was loved by all who met her and will truly be missed by all.

Pall bearers: Robby Rivers, Jimmy Carr, Philip Smith, Jake Wade, Ryan Reid and Gamaliel "Gumby" Salas.

Services will be at Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, September 14, 2019 with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. and a chapel service at 11 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Union Line Cemetery, Soso, MS.

Services officiated by Rev. Ken Riley, and Bro. Harold Floyd of Lebanon Baptist Church.
