Arthur “Sonny” Sewell, 84, of Hattiesburg, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Sonny was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Petal. He was the owner of Sewell Floor Service and had served his Country by enlisting in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur and Willie Mae Sewell and two brothers, Jimmy Sewell and Mike Sewell.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Eloise Sewell of Hattiesburg; a son, James (Valerie Jo) Sewell of Hattiesburg; three daughters, Tina Louise (Randy) Sullivan of Runnelstown, Regina Diane Trest of Petal, Sandra Kay (Johnny) Hollingsworth of Mt. Olive; a brother, Steve (Nell) Sewell of Bellevue; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Sonny will be 11:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at the Petal Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.
