Gerald "Jerry" Edward Clark Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020, for Mr. Gerald "Jerry" Edward Clark Jr., age 55, of Petal, at Buck Creek Cemetery. Mr. Clark passed away on March 4, 2020 at Forrest General Hospital. Bro. Eric Richardson will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Braden Clark, Greg Rhymes, Russell Clark, Paula Leggett, Josh Young, Patrick Prine and Earl Ready. Coach L.D. Ready will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Jean Clark; adopted mother, Cora Williford; grandmother, Mackie Tisdale, Genia Cox; grandfather, Horace Clark; aunt, Margaret Bonner; uncles, Junior Clark, Cecil Clark and Sonny Clark. He is survived by his dad, Gerald Clark Sr. of Petal; step-mom, Billie Clark of Petal; brothers, Paul (Dee Dee) Smith of Hattiesburg, Joey Williford of Brookhaven, David Williford of Brooklyn, Shane (Susan) Clark of Petal and Kenny Clark of Petal; sisters, Sharon (Greg) Rhymes of Petal, Jolene Magee of Petal and Melissa Tingle of Lucedale; host of aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Jerry was a 1982 graduate of Richton High School and had worked as a roughneck in offshore drilling .

Visitation will be March 7, 2020, 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.
