A private service was held Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Sunset Cemetery for Mrs. Betty Gay Laythe, age 66, of Richton, who passed away at her residence on April 12, 2020. Bro. Danny Forrest officiated the service.
Mrs. Laythe was preceded in death by her father, Ross Creel; and brother, Mike Creel. She is survived by her husband, Gene Laythe of Richton; son, Jason Laythe of Richton; daughter, Jennifer (Andy) Finnegan of Hattiesburg; grandchildren, Julia Laythe, Stephen Laythe and Chloy Finnegan; mother, Irma Gay Creel of Richton.
Mrs. Laythe was a registered nurse for over 17 years having worked with Forrest General Hospital and Pine Grove Mental Health.
