Donna Carolyn (Grant) Ainsworth, 78, of Raleigh, Mississippi, God called our precious, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister and aunt, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, June 12, 1940, in Raleigh, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Raleigh in MS. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 26, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Raleigh and the Burial will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Mickey Ferguson and Rev. Tommy Shields will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn was Ms. Raleigh High School of 1958. She married November 10, 1960, living in Pascagoula, MS, working for First Federal Savings and Loan until having children, she later lived in Jackson MS, and Orlando Fla, enjoying home making.

Carolyn spent a lot of time with her grandparents, Hall and Cecile Martin, while living with them. She was immensely close to her ‘Grant’ family; speaking of them often, as well as her lifelong friends, Mary Elizabeth Edmunds, Mary Craft Eastland, and Ms. Joy. She was beautiful, artistic and creative enjoying her favorite hobby (detailed) blue ribbon quilting and writing poetry, She was also a great cook, with her signature, buttermilk chocolate cake. But her greatest enjoyment was her family. She served them well to the end, being a help to others in times of need, filled with compassion and empathy.

She was preceded in death by parents, Fred Grant and Frances (Martin) Grant, sister, Judy Ezell, brother, William H. Grant.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Mack Ainsworth, children; Macolyn Ainsworth Stanley (Mike), Kimberly Robertson (Mike), Michael Ainsworth , grandchildren; Adam Robertson (Hollie), Jacob Robertson (Sierra), Juston (Taffie) and Preston Robertson, Nicholas (Bubba) Robertson (Kristina), Zachary Roberstson (Maylin) and Sarah Roberston McCrory (Patrick), Steven Stanley (Emily), Travis Stanley (Celeste), Madison Stanley, great-grandchildren; Cayden Rhett Robertson, Landon Carpenter, Tristin Carpenter, Taylor Carpenter, Ethan Robertson, Presley Robertson, Jake Robertson, Braxton and Brayden (Buddy), Kirsten Johnson, Brantley Southern and Gage and Channing Robertson, Kaylin Musgrove, siblings; Wini Harris, Brenda Mitchell (George), and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Adam Robertson, Jacob Robertson, Juston and Preston Robertson, Nicholas Robertson, Zachary Robertson, Steven and Travis Stanley.
