Mr. William “JR” McLendon, 71, of McHenry, passed away on December 7, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. He was a United States Army Veteran and worked for the Department of Homeland Security as a Security Manager.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine McLendon; his mother, Pauline Cobb Payne, and two siblings, Karen Bottin and Phil McLendon.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer McLendon of Wiggins, April Ladner (Cody) of McHenry, Justin Lee McLendon (Christie) of Phoenix, AZ: two sons, Jeremy Michael McLendon (Marcille) of Edward, MS; thirteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; siblings, Vickie Rhodes of Kentucky, Bobby Jo McLendon of Hattiesburg, Pam Swilley of Gulfport and Michael Payne of Saucier; Step-Dad, Murdock Payne of Diamond Head, MS, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., December 14, 2020, at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS. Moore Funeral Services in Wiggins is in charge of the arrangements.
