Nita Wynell Yonce, 86, of Petal, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020, at her home. Services will be Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Moore Petal Chapel followed by burial in New Augusta Cemetery.
Mrs. Yonce was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Before her retirement, she worked at Citizen’s Bank in Hattiesburg for 17 years and later she was a Medical Records Clerk for the Mississippi Department of Health in New Augusta. Crocheting and working in her yard were two of her favorite hobbies. She loved her family and enjoyed helping raise her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion W. Yonce, Jr.; one son, Paul A. Yonce; and her mother, Margaret H. Webster.
She is survived by two daughters, Tina M. Yonce of Petal and Cecilia (Daniel) Weathersby of New Augusta; two sons, Matt Yonce and Clint (Tiffany) Yonce, both of New Augusta; four grandchildren, Andrew Morgan, Trace Pierce, Erin Yonce, and Peyton Yonce; three great grandchildren, Ella Morgan, Warren Morgan, and Zak Ray; two step-grandchildren, Blake Weathersby and Jade Nichols; and three step-great grandchildren, Harbor Nichols, Charlotte Weathersby, and Anna Katherine Weathersby.
Visitation will be Monday, February 17, 2020, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal.
