James Otis Johnson born September 17, 1946, passed away on December 12, 2019, at the age of 73.
Mr. Johnson was a Drill Pipe Inspector with Tuboscope prior to his retirement. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Julia “Judy” Johnson; son, Chris Johnson; daughter, Lea Ann Chancellor (Mike); sisters, Janett Easterling, Ann Welborn, and Barbara Smith; grandchildren, Tyler Pitts, Leighton Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Kayde Johnson, Hanna Chancellor, and Mason Chancellor; two great grandchildren, K. J. Martin and Launi Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, December 16, 2019 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and the service following at 11 a.m. Rev. Jamie Altman will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Mac McLeod, Ford McLeod, Chad Sullivan, Frank Martin, Jr., Jody Johnson, and Kenny Johnson. Honorary pallbearer will be Herman Easterling.
