Anita Thompson, 67, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at her residence in the Greenville Community. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020, at the Thompson Family Cemetery.
Anita was a member of the Baxterville Baptist Church and had been very active as a member of the Women’s Missionary Union. She worked for many years as a cook for Martin’s Sourdough Bakery, Butler Imports and Movie Star Garments. She is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Dimple Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Thompson, Sr. of the Greenville Community; a daughter, Rebecca (Greg) Martin of the Greenville Community; a son, Eugene (Sarah) Thompson, Jr. of Purvis; a brother, Gene (Dymple) Johnson of Lumberton; a sister, Judy Williamson of Petal; four grandchildren, Jada Martin, Krista Martin, Sage Thompson, and Slade Thompson.
A visitation for Anita will be 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at the Baxterville Baptist Church.
