Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2020, at Jones and Son Chapel in Moselle for Mrs. Miriam “Billie” Rainey, age 82, of Moselle who passed from this life on February 13, 2020. Bro. Richard Thornton will officiate with burial to follow in the Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Russ Thompson, Mark Dickinson, Josh Dickinson, Jeff Barnes, Johnny Wayne Barnes and Jonathan Corley with Robert Rainey, Michael Rainey and Johnathan Lovato serving as alternates.
Mrs. Rainey was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. She worked as a Direct Care Supervisor at Ellisville State School for many years before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Rainey; parents, Bilbo and Ollie Dickinson; grandsons, Eric and Thomas Rainey and brother, Mickey Dickinson.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Rainey of Welaka, FL and Lanell (Richard) Thornton of Columbus; son, Richard G. “Ricky” (Natalie) Rainey, Jr. of Soso; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren;brother, Bo Dickinson of Richton; sisters, Carol Thicksten, Helene (Wayne) Barnes and Eva Dickson all of Richton and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2020, at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
