Wanda Lou Thurmond, 79, of Picayune, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at the Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg. A memorial service for Wanda Lou will be held at a later date.
Wanda Lou was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker who loved to cook for her family and crochet. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mervin and Lois Ledet and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Thurmond of Petal; three sons, Harry J. Cormany of Houma, LA, Robert L. (Anna) Thurmond of Petal, Ron (Lisa) Thurmond of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Bobbie Thurmond Platt of Morgantown, N.C.; twelve grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
