A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2020, at Newell Cemetery in Richton for Mrs. Bonnie Lou Newell, age 82, of Richton, who died on May 30, 2020. Bro. Jerry Edwards will officiate the service.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Gaines Ray Newell; and parents, William Thomas and T. Ollie Utsey.
She is survived by her son, Gaines Ray Newell, Jr. and daughter Tammie Denise Newell, both of Richton; a brother, Donald Gray (Susan) Utsey of Clara; 7 sisters, Laura Lutter of Clara, Billie (William) Beard of Clara, Geraldine Gardner of Mobile, JoAnn Utsey, Mary Helen Wickersham, Ethel Utsey, and Janice (Richard) Bass, all of Clara; 4 grand children and 7 great-grand children.
Bonnie was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and she loved to cook and garden.
