Leroy “Tub” Loper, age 88, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family in McHenry, MS, on July 26, 2020. He was born on February 27, 1932, in Collins, MS, to the late Gideon and Mamie Loper.
He was a truck driver in the logging industry. Aside from his parents, Mr. Loper is also preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Bodie.
Mr. Loper is survived by his wife of 62 years, Norma Jean Loper of McHenry; his daughters, Robin (Jimmy) Bell of McHenry and Rhonda Bodie of McHenry; sister, Polly Turan of Gulfport; grandchildren, Edward Bell, Clay Bell, Jeana Bodie, Destiny Hickman, Samantha Fore, Selena Hickman, and Catherine Fore and ten Great-Grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at D C Wedgeworth Cemetery, at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, July 31, 2020. Moore Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
