Services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. for Bro. Gary Wayne Martin, age 71, of Beaumont, at Jones and Son Chapel in Beaumont. Bro. Martin passed away to his heavenly home on October 6, 2020, at his residence. Bro. Delton Parker, Bro. Larry Lott and Bro. Brian Stewart will officiate the service with burial to follow in the Sylvester Cemetery in Beaumont.
Bro. Martin was a Pastor for over 35 years having preached in several churches in Mississippi. He was a member of the Beaumont American Legion Post 80; Beaumont VFW; a member of the DAU in Ocean Springs; and a member of the Beaumont Masonic Lodge.
Bro. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and Emma Martin; brothers, Ben Martin, William Martin; sisters, Mary Thomasson, Sylvia Smith.
He is survivied by his wife, Shirley Sylvester Martin of Beaumont; sons, John (Roxanne) Martin of Beaumont, Quinn Martin of Beaumont; daughters, Alaina (Jeff) Justice of Carriere, Kerri Martin of Beaumont; brother, Elwyn (Mary) Martin of Bossier City, LA; sisters, Catherine Small of Beaumont, Lorraine Johnson of Beaumont, Shannon (Boots) Lott of Beaumont, Violet (JT) Henderson of Lucedale; grandchildren, Isabella, Lila, Chloe, Logan, Colby, Benjamin, Conor; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, October 12, 2020, 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Beaumont.
The family request that mask be worn at the visitation and the service.
