Shirley McLain Green, 76, of Petal passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020, at the Petal Chapel of Moore Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Mrs. Shirley was of the Baptist faith. She loved watching Jimmy Swaggart. She enjoyed bream fishing, watching deer, and gardening. Above all things, she loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dossie and Jewell McLain; her brother, Jim McLain; her first husband, Buck Roberts; and her second husband, Orville Lister.
She is survived by her four children, James “Buck” (Stella) Roberts, Jr. of McLain, Charles “Chuck” Roberts of McLain, Sherry (Cliff) Breland of Hattiesburg, and Mack (Amy) Lister of Petal; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Ann Penton of McLain; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a beloved three-legged dog named Buster.
Due to COVID-19 limitations, the family will have a private funeral service at a later date.
