Col. Mark T. Finch, Jr. (USAF Ret.) passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020, at the Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2020, at the Hattiesburg Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Mark was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. He had served his Country in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War and the Viet Nam War. He retired after thirty-one years of service as a Colonel in the Judge Advocate Office. He then entered private practice after twenty years from the Finch & Wicht Law Firm of Hattiesburg.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Anne Marie Finch; a granddaughter, Katie Feix; a daughter-in-law, Andrea Finch; his parents, Mark and Mary Finch, Sr.; and a sister, Mary Katherine Finch.
He is survived by his wife, Myra Finch of Hattiesburg; a son, Mark Finch of Dublin, Ireland; two daughters, Mary Katherine Feix of Enfield, NH, Andrea (Scott) Lawson of Denver, CO; son-in-law, Lloyd Schwing of Covington, LA; three grandsons, William Feix, Derek Lawson and Kevin Lawson.
