A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at 3:30 p.m. for Mr. Samuel Edward Pope, age 77, of Seminary at Bullock Cemetery. Mr. Pope passed from this life on November 30, 2020 at Forrest General Hospital. Bro. David Edigo will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be William Whitehead, David Culpepper, Reggie Craft, Titus Bass, Damion Byrd, James Byrd, Wesley Byrd and Doug Byrd.
Mr. Pope was a member of The New Testament Apostolic Church in Longville, LA. He was a truck driver for over 25 years; and a Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Pope was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward and Ann Grace Pope; son, Kenny Pope; brother, Robert Pope.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Pope of Seminary; daughter, Suzanne Pope (William) Whitehead of Spring, TX; step-daughter, Julie (Jeff) Page of Moselle; step-sons, Doug (Misty) Byrd of Sanford and Wesley (Beth) Byrd of Moselle; sister, Roberta Newton of Charleston, MS; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
