Eddie Ray Glenn, 65, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi.
He was born Tuesday, August 25, 1953 in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Visitation was held on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Funeral Services were held Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Burial followed in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. James Sprayberry, Bro. Robbie White, and Bro. Troy Rayner officiated. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs was in charge of arrangements.
Eddie, who was best known as “Pookie”, was a hardworking, honest man, who had a great love for his family and friends. He was a good Christian man that loved helping others. Eddie was very faithful to his church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David “Joe” and Annie Glenn; a brother, David Larry Glenn; a sister, Dorothy Nell Ulmer.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Barbara Glenn; two sons, Cedric Brad Glenn (Jeanna) and David Frazier Glenn; one daughter, Kimberly Michelle Parker (Adam); one sister, Charolette A. Bowen (Carlie Frank); one granddaughter, Anna Rae Glenn; one grandson, Easton Blake Parker; and aunt, Jean Ronquillo.
Pallbearers were Russ Blakeney, Jay Pilgrim, BoBo Bowen, Marcus Ulmer, Adron Brown, and Gene Brumett. Honorary pallbearers were co-workers of Dunn Road Builders.
