Janie M. Kitchens Norris, 82, of Lumberton, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020, at Windham House. A graveside service will be held in Highland Cemetery on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 10:30 a.m.
Mrs. Norris was a member of Midway First Baptist Church and was a strong woman of faith. She enjoyed painting, designing floral arrangements, and loved talking on the phone. Above all things, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 56 years, James Todd Norris, Sr.; her parents, Aubrey and Georgie Kitchens; her brother, Jack Kitchens; and her sister, Virginia Rohr.
She is survived by her son, James “Todd” Norris, Jr. (Linda) of Florence; her daughter, Georgia Denise Pigott (Wallace) of Lumberton; her brother, Ames Kitchens (Allison) of Florida; her grandchildren, Bradley Norris (Laurel) of Hattiesburg; Gracie Norris of Florence, and Janielyn Pigott of Lumberton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
