Richard G. Sommers, age 69, passed away on January 19, 2020, at Laurelwood Community Living Center in Laurel.
Mr. Sommers was born in Laurel on November 22, 1950, and worked as an auditor with the State of MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Gene Sommers and Frances Van Eton Sommers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Sommers of Laurel; two daughters, Shannon Barnhill and Jennifer Wilkerson both of Mobile, AL; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
