Ellis Cooper Myrick, 83, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Jasper General Hospital in Bay Springs, MS. He was born Thursday, November 19, 1936, in Stringer, Mississippi.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, May 1, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Providence Cemetery and the Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery in Stringer, MS. Elder Mark Quarles and Elder Sammy Odom will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.

Cooper was a graduate of Mississippi State University and served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Verell and Anne Myrick, and sister, Sandra Myrick Hendry.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ingelise Myrick, two sons, Skot Myrick and Mark Myrick (Sharon) both of Brandon, MS, and daughter, Lisa Vosen (Bill), of Fairhope, AL. Grandchildren include two granddaughters Avery Vosen and Haley Myrick and grandson Jack Vosen.

Surviving siblings include Ellen Wages (Jerry) of Vancleave, MS, and Paul Myrick (Judy) of Stringer, MS, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews Doug Hendry, Chad Wages, Patrick Myrick, Tim Wages, Nic Wages, Jonah Myrick and John Paul Myrick. Honorary pallbearers are close friends Jack Blackwell, Jimmy Hollingshead, Danny Robinson, Charles Waldrup, and Cole Avera.
