Leroy “Curley” Hinton, 82, while surrounded by his family, passed away at his residence in Runnelstown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2020, at the Hattiesburg Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with interment in the Hinton Family Cemetery.
Curley was a member of the Glade Pentecostal Holiness Church. He enjoyed fishing and working with wood. He was known to be very talented with building things out of wood and metal.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Annie Mae Hinton, Sr.; a brother, Ben Hinton, Jr.; and three sisters, JoAnn Johnston, Bobbie Walley, and Betty Sue Carpenter.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Linda Hinton of Runnelstown; two sons Don (Leisa) Hinton, Danny (Rita) Hinton, both of Runnelstown; two daughters, Lisa (Jimmy) Hill, Tamsie (Brad) Travis, both Runnelstown; a brother, J. D. “Goodie” Hinton of Runnelstown; a sister, Faye Meeler of Runnelstown; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Curley will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at the Hattiesburg Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.
