Lorraine Dove, 82, of Petal, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020, at Asbury Hospice House. Visitation will be Friday, September 11, 2020, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal with services immediately following at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Dove worked at Hattiesburg Clinic for 15 years before retiring in 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Dove; her parents, Reese and Idella Polk; and one sister, Rachel Broome.
She is survived by one daughter, Kim Dove of Petal; three grandchildren, Summer Simmons (Tim) of Houston, TX, Jimmie Kangeter of Petal, and Chance Watson (Missy) of Hattiesburg; four great grandchildren, Anna Murdock, Raegan Kangeter, Lex Simmons, Lala Simmons, and Ridley Simmons; two sisters, Mary Ann Steverson of Prentiss and Gail Doherty of Athens, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Homes of Hope for Children
