She lived in Jackson Ms. briefly then moved back home to Bay Springs on her family land. She worked numerous jobs throughout her lifetime but loved her last job with the MHP Troop H the most and retired from that job.

She loved nature. Her back porch was her favorite place to watch all of God’s beauty for that day. She also like painting, sewing for herself and others and fishing but received most of her joy from family and friends visiting her. That was when she was happiest.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Walter & Myrtle Cole, her brothers- Bill Cole, Jim Cole, Tom Cole, Bobby Cole, Pat Cole and a sister Ruth Turner.

She is survived by husband Marlin B Hodgson. Eight children- Lynn Boyd-Wilde (Fred), Cole Boyd, Tracy Boyd, Tommy Boyd (Reatha), John Hodgson (Taylor), Marlin D Hodgson (Amy), Michelle Wiginton and Christopher Hodgson (Cindy). Twenty-three grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 4 great -great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom always loved nature especially the mountains. My brother Tracy would send her pictures of his mountains. She was so jealous but she loved them. My brother said it best in his post. Saturday morning mom was able to walk through those pearly gates, yes walk through and not in her wheelchair. But knowing mom as we all do she was probably running. “We Can Only Imagine” the beauty she was seeing. And what she was seeing was more beautiful that any of those pictures she saw. For she saw her family. Family she had been longing to see for so long. If my mom could ask one thing of each of you it would be to get right with the Lord. Because you can bet, she will be at those gates waiting for each of us with arms open and a huge smile on her face.
