Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2020, at Caney Baptist Church for Mr. Steve Larken “Jr.” Bounds, Jr age 50, of Sumrall who passed from this life August 4, 2020, at Merit Health Central in Jackson.
Bro. Roger Miller and Bro. Michael Miller will officiate with burial to follow in the Caney Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dalton Garner, Ronald Loftin, Jeremy Miller, George Stampley, C.J. Saujon, Sam Bennett, Joey Johnson and Henry McClendon.
Mr. Bounds was a member, Sunday School Teacher, and bus driver of Caney Baptist Church. He was a master carpenter and was dearly loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Ann Bounds; paternal grandparents, Elder Liston and Helen Bounds of Sumrall and maternal grandparents, Earnest and Lillian Martin of Purvis.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cathie Bounds of Sumrall; children, Britany (Robbie) Pettit, Tony (Amber) Bounds, Hanna (Sean) Chisolm all of Lumberton; father, Steve L. Bounds, Sr. of Sumrall; sister, Sharon Bryant of Sumrall; brothers, Shelton Bounds and Jacob Bounds both of Lumberton; grandchildren, Matthew Bounds, Layken Bounds, Hunter Bounds, Payton McClendon, Brooklyn McClendon, Bailee Chisolm and Wyatt Chisolm.
Visitation will 5:30 p.m. – until Saturday, August 8, 2020, at Caney Baptist Church.
Jones and Son Funeral Home in Hattiesburg is in charge of arrangements.
