Barbara Ann Simmons age 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior May 15, 2020, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg.
She was a faithful member and Sunday School Teacher at Carnes Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Enoch and Agnes Hartfield; her sisters, Delores McCardle and Bonnie Jackson, and one brother, Stan Hartfield.
She is survived by her husband, Ellis Simmons of Carnes; her children, William Ellis Simmons (Rachel) of Carnes, Carol Rieden (Karl) of Carnes, Jeffrey Simmons of Carnes, Ronnie Simmons (Shelly) of Perkinston & Karen Bond (Roy) of Carnes; brother, John Hartfield (Vanessa) of Hattiesburg and sister, Theresa Schenk of Purvis; twelve grandchildren, Sara, Josh, Kent, Megan, Kyle, Dalton, MaKayla, Daniel, Zachary, Ethan, Ashley, and Jenna; three great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Ace, and Kade.
Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m., May 19, 2020, at Carnes Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Carnes Missionary Baptist Church. Moore Funeral Services in Wiggins is in charge of the arrangements.
