A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. for Mrs. Sylvia Yates, age 66, of Richton, at Dykes Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Yates passed away on April 19, 2020, at the Perry County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Jessie Dykes.
She is survived by her daughters, Ginger (Bobby Lenn) Cowart of Richton, Tiffany (Nakia) Smith of Petal; brother, Virgil "BoBo" (Patricia) Dykes of Richton; grandchildren, Hayden, Mattie-Marie and Sophianna Cowart, Oliver Yates, Lucy and Oaklin Smith, Leigha Taylor.
Sylvia enjoyed traveling very much; gardening and her flowers. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed following all their activities and endeavors.
Visitation will be Friday, April 24, 2020, 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.
