A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. for Mr. David Hamilton Freeman, age 75, of Silverdale Washington, at Seminary Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Kenneth McLendon will officiate the service with family and friends speaking.
David Hamilton Freeman was born in Laurel, MS on December 25, 1944, to Ruby and Hamilton “Chummy” Freeman.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, brother, Dwight, and granddaughter, Kamille Johnson.
He is survived by his son, James; daughter, Karla Johnson (JJ); grandsons Jerald and Samuel Johnson; sister, Carolyn (Paul) Pipkins, his best friend and soulmate, Darla Carlson and her sons Chad, Chuck, Scott, and Curtis Patnode; and their families; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dave grew up in Richton, Mississippi. He joined the US Navy after high school and was stationed aboard the USS Constellation in San Diego, he served in Vietnam, and was in the Navy Reserves for an additional 2 years. Dave worked as an Electrician at Stetson Ross Machinery for 10 years and then at Bremerton School District for 22 years before retiring in 2007. Dave was an avid motorcyclist and car enthusiast. He was a member of Christian Life Center and King's Riders motorcycle club. Dave loved to travel to see the national parks, to Mississippi to see family and to Arizona to attend Mariner's Spring Training. One of his favorite destinations was the Smoky Mountains. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew him.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, 1:30 p.m. until service at Seminary Baptist Church Cemetery.
