Graveside services for Mr. Mark G. Avera, age 50, of Pigeon Forge, TN, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at the Mutual Rights Cemetery with Bro. Curt Sullivan and Bro. Barry Sullivan officiating.
Mark was as genuine as they come, a natural born entertainer, and brutally honest. He worked all over entertaining thousands with his gift for singing, from cruise ships to Dollywood. He was currently working as the Entertainment Director for Tree Top Resorts in Pigeon Forge, and he was an Independent Scentsy Director. He will always be remembered for his loyalty to his family and friends, and his ability to light up a room with his charm and personality.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sonny Boy Griffin, Mae Jewel Dearman Knight, and Rich and Elizer Avera.
He is survived by his faithful spouse, Wayne Lawrence of Pigeon Forge; his parents, Fran (Ken) Cobb of Petal and Gary (Sissy) Avera of Avera; his brother, Jason (Kristina) Avera of Avera; his step brothers, James (Andrea) Courtney and Matt (Magan) Courtney; his step sister, Brittany (Derrick) Musgrove; his niece, Jessica Avera; his nephews, Tyler Avera and Blake Courtney; his great nephews, Brantley, Jessie, and Samuel, along with a host of extended family and friends.
