James Robert “Litlon” Dale, 77, passed away Monday, February 24, 2020. Services will be Friday, February 28, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Prentiss Baptist Church, followed by burial at White Sand Cemetery.
Mr. Dale was a member of Prentiss Baptist Church. He worked as a law enforcement officer for the Mississippi Department of Transportation for 31 years. He also spent over 20 years volunteering for Jefferson Davis County youth sports. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking, and was an avid fox hunter. He loved gardening, mainly for the sole purpose of giving his produce to friends. Above all things, he loved his family, most of all his grand kids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cowsart and Daisy Dale.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wondra Dale of Prentiss; two sons, James Corey (Marianne) Dale of Brandon, and Robert Casey (Kristen) Dale of Sumrall; one daughter, Kameron Dale of Hattiesburg; 4 Grandchildren, Aubrey Dale, Lainey Dale, Parker Dale, and Lenix Dale; and one brother, George (Yvette) Dale of Clinton.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Prentiss Baptist Church.
