Funeral Services will be held for Lisa Carole Hughes Headrick at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Raleigh. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Double Church Cemetery.

Lisa attended Raleigh High School, Mississippi College, and University of Mississippi Dental School. Later she took Education Classes at University of Southern Mississippi.

She taught Biology Classes at Jones County Junior College for over 30 years. She was voted National Female Educator of the year of 2010, and received a plaque from President Barack O’Bama. She was active in her church, serving as song leader for several years.

Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Chester and Nettie Mangum Hughes of Mize and Charles and Lucile W. Reddoch of Laurel; and by her husband, Dewayne Headrick of Raleigh.

Lisa is survived by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Verlon Hughes (Patricia Carole “Patsy” Reddoch) of Raleigh, MS; her father and mother-in-law, Johnny Ray and Flora Headrick of Raleigh; her sister, Lynn Hughes Sorey, brother-in-law, Judge Stanley A. Sorey, and nephew, John Robert Sorey of Raleigh; her uncles, Larry Reddoch (Bill) of Gulfport, Jerry Reddoch (Dale) of Waynesboro, Ronald “Sonny” Reddoch (Nola) of Florence; her aunt, Rhonda Reddoch Jones (Clayton) of Madison. She has a host of Hughes and Reddoch cousins.

Funeral Services will be officiated by Rev. Bobby Davis and Rev. Keith Ramage.

Pallbearers will be “Sonny” Reddoch, Brian Reddoch, Ronnie Hughes, and friends.

In lieu of flowers please send Memorial Donations to First Baptist Church of Raleigh or the Double Church.
