Services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. for Mr. Pettis Brewer, age 90, of Richton, at Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Piave. Mr. Brewer passed away on September 3, 2020, at his residence. Bro. Scott Morris and Bro. Thomas Holloway will officiate with burial to follow in the Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dempsey Brewer, Douglas Brewer, Darrell Brewer, Matthew Brewer, Micah Tims II, Patrick Berger, Kermit Morris, Corbit Sullivan and Tyler Cook. Honorary pallbearer will be Blake Berger.
Mr. Brewer was a member of the Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflich and retired after 50 years as a heavy eqipment operator.
Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Brewer; parents, William Mathis and Margie Brewer; son, Pettis Dexter "Debo" Brewer; brothers, Talmadege Brewer, Dempsey Brewer; sister, Hester Brewer.
He is survived by his sons, Douglas (Katren) Brewer of Richton, Dempsey (Karen) Brewer of Richton, Darrell (Joanna) Brewer of Petal; daughter-in-law, Tina Brewer Cook of Saucier; brother, Wallace Brewer of Sand Hill; sister, Dimple Lollis of Lucedale; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 5, 2020, 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Piave.
The family request that mask be worn and social distancing observed.
