Services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at New Augusta United Methodist Church for Mrs. Raebeth Cooper, age 99, of New Augusta. Mrs. Cooper passed away to her heavenly home surrounded by her family on January 30, 2020, at her granddaughter's residence in Beaumont. Bro. Jim Slowy will officiate with burial to follow in the Carter-McSwain Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Jordan, Jason Van Gundy, David Gallespy, Mack Fullilove, Steve Hillman and J.D. Hinton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Van McCoy, Matthew Cooper, Marcus Cooper and Jonathan Sistrunk.
Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Cooper; daughter, Gayle Stork; son, Tim Cooper; parents, Malcom and Sadie Fullilove. She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Sonny) Sistrunk of New Augusta; sons, Ray Cooper of New Augusta, Mark (Gaye) Cooper of Prospect Community, Dale (Cindy) Cooper of New Augusta; 9 grandchildren, Lisa (Allen) Van Gundy, Lori Royals, Jill Stork, Jonathan Sistrunk, Tylah (Roger) Rogers, Marcus Cooper, Matthew Cooper, Heather (Shane) Cooper Jordan, Lindsay Cooper; 17 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was employed by the Perry County Welfare Department from 1967 until she retired in 1986. She was a member of the New Augusta United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 1, 2020, 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at New Augusta United Methodist Church.
