Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Jones and Son Chapel in Hattiesburg for Mrs. Shirley Mae Nobles, age 90 of Hattiesburg who passed from this life July 6, 2020, at her residence.
Bro. Mark McArthur, Bro. Jim Chidester and Bro. Billy Chidester will officiate with burial to follow in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Nobles, Will Nobles, Chris McArthur, Jordan Nobles, Barry Bigham, Keith Nobles, Fabio Arauz, Billy Chidester, Jr., and Sean Nobles.
Mrs. Nobles was a faithful pastor’s wife to her husband Bro. William Calvin “Bill” Nobles for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Beura and Marie Stringer; granddaughter, Jaime Chidester; sister, Evelyn “Bow” Harless; brothers, Aubrey Stringer and Bobby Stringer.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Bill Nobles; daughters, Pam (Jim) Chidester of Acworth, Ga, Gail (Mark) McArthur of Sumrall and Lisa (Curtis) Shaffer of Hattiesburg; sons, Phillip (Betty) Nobles of Hattiesburg and Calvin (Thomasywe) Nobles of Sumrall; sisters, Donna Atkinson of Central, LA and Linda Aultman of Hattiesburg; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
I lieu of flowers, feel free to do donations of Gideon Bibles in honor of Bill Nobles and memory of Shirley Nobles, since through her faithful prayers and the Gideon Bibles Bro. Bill gave his life to Christ.
