Benny Lee, 74, of Brooklyn, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019, at Merit Health Wesley. There will be a gathering of friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
Mr. Lee was a member of Janice Baptist Church. He loved fishing and story-telling, some stories true, some not.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas C. Lee and Margaret E. Scarborough; wife, Julia Faye Lee; two sisters, Doris Lee and Judy Lee; and five brothers, Billy Lee, Thomas Lee, Bobby Lee, Willard Lee, and Curtis Scarborough.
He is survived by five children, Brandon (Bridgette) Lee of Oak Grove, Kimberly (Brett) Brownlee of Richton, Beau Lee of the Janice Community, B.J. Lee of the Janice Community, and Kelli Lee of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Lou Ella Lee, Margie Lee, and Diane Scarborough; and six grandchildren, Noah Brownlee, Isaac Brownlee, Kylee Denmon, Catherine Lee, Braxton Lee, and Trenton Lee.
