Richard “Buddy” Morton age 84, passed away surrounded by loving family on March 15, 2020, at his home in Laurel, MS.
Buddy was born on August 13, 1936, in Abilene, Texas. He actively worked in the oil industry for more than 60 years. He met and married his wife Glenda Morton in Laurel, MS.
Buddy is survived by his wife, Glenda Morton; his sisters, Yvonne Strum, of Olympia, WA; Carolyn Morton, of Houston, TX; Carla Oshman (Ramie), of Boerne, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Grady Morton; his mother, Clara Morton; his sisters, Joyce Smith, Mickie Gaines, Joy Hendrix, and Linda Rugely; and his brother, Bobby Morton.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Laurel, MS.
Pall Bearers will be; Sammy Mansell, Derrick Dry, Roy Lynn Dry, Anthony Hall, John Tolbert, Trey Bryant, Joe Mike Brady, Seth McDonald, Randy Wall.
