Ronald “Ronnie” Wayne Harris, 66, of Stringer, Mississippi, died Monday, December 9th, 2019, at his residence in Stringer, Mississippi. He was born Sunday, June 21, 1953, in Laurel, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel and burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Andrew Pittman will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ronnie served in the National Guard for ten years, with the last four years specializing in nuclear warfare. He loved the outdoors, especially while he was training horses. He was fondly referred to as the horse whisperer. Ronnie loved his family, Dog freckles, and friends, especially all of his friends at the Red Apple.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hodges Harris; mother, Mary Helen Harris.
Survivors include his son, Brannon Harris (Julie); daughter, Shiloh Harris (Alan Ervin); grandchildren, Tristan Joe Harris, and Eva Jewel Harris; brother, Richard Harris (Regina); sisters, Pam Chaney, and Patricia “Pat” Williams, a special friend Ms Clarice Lee, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Billy Harris, Lee Husband, Brannon Harris, Doug Landrum, and Tony Rayner, Thomas Spradley.
Honorary pallbearer will be Roger Smith and Larry Jenkins.
