Mr. Coyt Whittington, age 82, of Perkinston passed away on December 3, 2020, in Gulfport, MS surrounded by family. He was born on October 28, 1938, to the late Knox and Esther Whittington.
Aside from his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Dimple Johnson. He was a superintendent at Ingall’s Shipyard and a member and deacon at Pine Bluff Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ginger Whittington; sons, Donnie Whittington (Melanie) of Perkinston and Terry Whittington (Angela) of Lucedale; five grandchildren, Devin Whittington (Kammie), Derrick Whittington, Emily Lambert (Cory), Nicole Whittington, and Kyle Whittington; two Great-Grandchildren, Alana Whittington and Luke Whittington and one brother, Bud Whittington of Wiggins.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on December 8, 2020, at Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins with burial to follow in Pine Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins. Moore Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
